  1. Cobian Backup 8 translation instructions

  3. 1) Just create a new translation by clicking
  4.    the "Create NEW translation button" or open
  5.    an existing translation by clicking the "Open 
  6.    translation" button.
  7.  
  8. 2) Now, just translate the TWO files (the user 
  9.    interface file and the message files). You can
  10.    switch between both files by clicking in the
  11.    respective tab in the translator.
  12.  
  13. 3) When translating the User interface it is VERY
  14.    important that you mantain the length of the
  15.    strings. If your string is much longer than
  16.    the original, the user interface may end being
  17.    deformed.
  18.  
  19. 4) When tranlating the messages is VITAL, VERY
  20.    IMPORTANT that the number AND ORDER of the 
  21.    parameters %s and %d will be THE SAME than in 
  22.    the original. If you do not so, the engine 
  23.    may die a painfull death because several 
  24.    exceptions may happen.

  26. 5) Before you ship your files, check the translation by
  27.    clicking on the "Check all lines" button. This 
  28.    checks the number of %s and %d in every line but 
  29.    DOESN'T check the order. Please, be sure that if 
  30.    a line contains the string '%s done. %d files copied'
  31.    you DON'T translate it '%d files copied. %s done'.
  32.    The order of %s and %d in a phrase is VITAL.

  34. 6) When you have tested your files, send them to me
